JERRY
Through recovery, I came to recognise the importance of rigorous honesty: being willing to understand not only the addiction itself, but what might sit beneath it. This process became fundamental to my own recovery and continues to inform the way I work with clients today.
In recovery, I also found purpose in helping others. Alongside my training with the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy, I have studied evidence-based approaches and developed my own methods and protocols, drawing on what I have lived, learned and continue to explore.
My role is not to tell someone how to live their life, nor is it simply to "fix" a problem. It is to listen, understand what they would like to change and work alongside them to create the structure, tools and accountability that can help them move forward.
Every person's experience of addiction and recovery is different. My approach respects that individuality, combining compassion and understanding with structure, honesty and practical support.
Because recovery isn't simply about leaving something behind. It's about building a life you want to move towards.
