FAQs

What is recovery coaching?
Recovery coaching is structured, one-on-one support for anyone navigating addiction, sobriety, or major life transitions. Unlike therapy, it’s forward-focused. We work together to build tools, set goals, and maintain accountability as you move through your recovery journey—whether you’re just beginning or years into the process.

Is this therapy?
No. While therapy is clinical and often rooted in the past, recovery coaching is non-clinical and centred around your current challenges and future goals. That said, many clients find coaching to be a valuable complement to therapy or aftercare support.

How long is the free initial consultation?
Your initial consultation will take no less than 15 minutes and no more than an hour. It gives us a chance to get a feeling for each other prior to committing to working together.

What can I expect from the first session?
We start with an overall exploration session, which gives us a chance to get to know each other further, talk through what’s going on, and determine how I can support you going forward. These regular hourly sessions are £80/hour.

How often do we meet?
Most clients start with weekly sessions, but this can be adjusted depending on your needs and availability. Some prefer more frequent contact in the early stages; others scale back as they grow more confident.

Is this confidential?
Absolutely. Everything we discuss remains strictly confidential. This is a judgment-free space built on trust, openness, and respect.

Do you work with treatment centres or clinics?
Yes. I’m open to bespoke partnership models with treatment centres who are looking for experienced, independent recovery coaches as part of their aftercare or extended care offering.
Please get in touch if you'd like to discuss this further.
